A world with something at stake.
AEVUM is an original AI-assisted science-fiction short from Love Yours Media, created as our entry for the Higgsfield Global Film Festival. Written by Enixx and directed by Tafari, with editing and an original score by LYM, the complete film runs for five minutes and thirty-five seconds.
The world is immediately unfamiliar. Armed figures move through a damaged landscape beneath an enormous celestial body. Dust, fire and the low light of a purple sky give the exterior scenes an unsettled beauty. The film then draws closer: a face, an injury, an encounter in a stone passage, a small ornate box. Its scale moves between the world outside and the choices made within it.
Scale gives way to detail.
That movement is what makes AEVUM an interesting creative brief. A wide image can establish the size of a world; a close-up has to give us a reason to care about it. Both have a job. The ruined horizon creates atmosphere, while the faces and gestures carry attention through the scene.
The stills here are taken directly from the finished film. Look at the change in texture between the open landscape and the enclosed stone interiors, or the way the decorated box becomes a point of focus within a much larger setting. Those details give the audience something to follow as the environment changes around them.

The finished work is a sequence of decisions.
AI-assisted production opens up a wide visual range. Turning that range into a film still calls for a point of view: what belongs in the world, which image moves the story forward, how long a moment should last and what the next cut should reveal.
AEVUM brings writing, direction, editing and music into the same piece. The story gives the images a purpose. Direction shapes the action and emphasis. Editing determines how one moment leads into another. The original score adds a further layer, giving the film a sound as well as a visual identity.
For us, those relationships are the useful part of the experiment. An image is judged in the context of the scene around it. A shot that attracts attention still has to earn its place in the sequence. A piece of music has to support the moment on screen. The audience encounters the result as one film.

Creative range, with judgement.
AEVUM sits within the same studio practice as our websites, campaigns and other production work: take an idea seriously, make something tangible and keep refining the relationship between the parts. Here, the output is an imagined world and a complete short film. In a business workflow, the output might be a useful report, a functioning website or a process someone can repeat.
The connection is the discipline of defining the intended result and checking the work against it. The tools create possibilities. The people using them decide what is useful, coherent and ready to share.
This film is a creative example of that practice. It does not establish a particular productivity saving, a client return or a training outcome. What it offers is work you can watch, question and judge for yourself.
